Serpentine belt broke on the MR2 last weekend. Had to tow it to a shop. Mechanic told me to get the timing belt changed too. 83K miles is too much for the original belt it should of been changed at 60k. Funny thing is that there a pizza shop by the mechanic’s and guess what has been sitting there for 2 months now. ... a 86 MR2. I didnt snap a picture but its the same color as this one.

Its rustier than my MR2 xD. I dont think I can handle to broken MR2s lol. I can barely handle mine. I wish I could trade it for a CRX sometimes lol.

Hey, I know this is an old post but it came up when I was googling how to replace my MR2’s belts. How much did it end up costing you to have both belts replaced at the shop?
